Commodity Boards:

Coffee Board:- The Coffee Board is a statutory organisation
constituted under Section (4) of the Coffee Act, 1942.
(ii)
(ii) Rubber
Board:- The Rubber Board is a statutory
organisation constituted under Section (4) of the Rubber Act, 1947.
(iii)
(iii) Tea Board
:- Tea Board was set up as a statutory body
on 1st April, 1954 as per Section (4) of the Tea Act, 1953.

(iv) Tobacco
Board :- The Tobacco Board was constituted as a
statutory body on 1st January, 1976 under Section (4) of the Tobacco Board Act,
1975.

(v) Spices
Board :- The Spices Board was constituted as a
statutory body on 26th February, 1987 under Section (3) of the Spices Board
Act, 1986.
Marine Products Export Development Authority, Cochin :
The Marine Products Export Development Authority was set
up as a Statutory Body in 1972 under an Act of Parliament (No.13 of
1972). The Authority, with its headquarters at Kochi.It has Trade
Promotion Offices at Tokyo (Japan) and New York (USA).
Agricultural and processed Food Products Export
Development Authority, New Delhi :
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export
Development Authority (APEDA) was established by the Government of India under
the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act
passed by the Parliament in December, 1985.
Export Inspection Council, New Delhi:
The Export Inspection Council was set up as a Statutory
Body on 1st January, 1964 under Section 3 of the Export (Quality Control and
Inspection) Act, 1963 to ensure sound development of export trade of India
through quality control and inspection and for matters connected therewith. The
Council, an official export-certification body of India, is located at New
Delhi
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi :
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade was registered in
May, 1963 under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Institute was
established by the Government of India with the objective to strengthen the
country’s external trade sector through development of human resources and by
generating, analyzing and disseminating data, conducting research and providing
consultancy services.
Indian Institute of Packaging, Mumbai :
The Indian Institute of Packaging is an autonomous body
set up by the Department of Commerce, Govt. of India in 1966 in partnership
with the leading Indian packaging and allied industries. The Institute is a
Society registered at Mumbai. The Institute is located in Mumbai and has
branches at Chennai, Kolkata, Delhi and Hyderabad. Recently, the Institute has
set up its branch at Bangalore. A branch at Guwahati is also proposed to be
opened shortly.
Indian Institute of Plantations Management
Realizing the potentialities and needs of modernization
of the plantation sector through management education and training, Ministry of
Commerce & Industry, Government of India constituted a core group in 1990
to set up a strategic institution of management education in the plantation
sector. Accordingly a blue-print for the Indian Institute of Plantation
Management, (IIPM) Bangalore was prepared.
